Employment Assistance Initiative

"Civil liberty is the status of the man who is guaranteed by law and civil institutions the exclusive employment of all his own powers for his own welfare" - William Sumner.

With the organization's vision to see a world with equal opportunities through education, for all, we are hereby driven to assist with employment opportunities for minorities in the Boston area.

With soaring unemployment rates, many families have been pushed into the abyss due to the inability to find a job and, many have had to consider the notion that real jobs do not even exist anymore.

Youth Action Africa, wishes is to extend its charitable services to counteract the rising unemployment rates by assisting citizens in the job search process. Our services shall include but not limited to:

  • Preparing an employment profile to match each potential candidate with a potential job opportunity.
  • Assist in creating resumes and cover letters for each potential candidate.
  • Follow up and make interview appointments for potential candidates

We believe that success is not only defined by the number of candidates that end up securing a job but by the number of candidates that wake up each morning and get dressed for an interview.

We believe that getting up and heading for an interview is one step closer to getting employed, hence closing the gap on unemployment.
Our organization will keep providing its services for the duration of time that it remains valuable to the community and its members.

We hope that by the end of this year, 2010, our services can assist in decreasing the unemployment rate in Massachusetts to a single digit and/or a record low.
